Notion, delete that from the transcript. Why do I look so pretty? Does it like... Make me look good. How do you change that? Oh, it's not on now. I just do look like that. That's cute. Hey Alfie Yeah, not bad, thank you.
Hi, Corey.
Hiya. Yeah, good. Thank you. Doing well.
How are you? Good. To be honest, I don't know if James is joining. I'm assuming He normally likes to join meetings quite late.
So.
That's what.
He's normally walking on his phone between venues and stuff. But yeah, so thanks for reaching out about Humbug. We are currently just looking at what partners we could... promote this in this year. So it was kind of good timing. I guess the things we just need to know a bit are how you see it working. In your minds here and now, what kind of What vision do you have for us working together?
Yeah.
and options obviously depending on your situations and everything um i know is it previously you normally sort of do one venue you stay there for the duration of christmas So That's probably one option that we can definitely look at.
Yeah. Yeah.
But in terms of the one that I originally reached out to, so what we're trying to do, so obviously as a venue, we do sort of like a number of different Christmas packages. One of the ones that we're looking at is to do sort of a... for small and medium enterprises to do sort of like sit down dinners for smaller companies where they can hire out one of our spaces. And the aim would be to choose a specific date in December. And then ideally what we'd like to do is have say 10 to 15 of these companies.
And then once they've had their dinner, we can bring them to one of our spaces under the bridge to do sort of like a shared after party.
Yeah.
So that's one of the ideas we're sort of running at the moment.
Yeah.
There's still a lot of things at play, but that was one where I thought could be great for you. Obviously, I went to the one you did at the Vaults last year.
And I know my manager, Charlie, has been looking at potentially getting bands in or something like that.
Yeah.
Sure.
But I thought the way you guys do it, I think could be really cool. And obviously at the moment, we're probably only looking at maybe two dates for that.
But I think from your perspective, if you feel like there's an opportunity to find a venue, we could potentially look at that as well.
Yeah.
We'd probably have to operate it not in collaboration with Chelsea as such, but more in collaboration with, say, events at Stamford Bridge, which is sort of my team.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah, sure. Okay, makes sense. Yeah, well, look, I think both options are great.
We run all of the spaces there and we could potentially look at using Underbridge as sort of like a residency venue for you, depending on how many dates. The other thing you've got to take into account is obviously because we're a football club, the fixtures can often interrupt a lot of different things. They interrupt ours all the time. We shouldn't have too many date changes. and too many clashes this year.
But that's obviously something to look at because it's probably prime time for you in a number of different dates, like weekends and things like that.
I guess we are just speaking candidly, we are talking to another venue in Greenwich.
Yeah.
So let's play devil's advocate and say that that one moves forward, there's nothing stopping us from being to do your kind of one or two night thing for your dining guests.
Yeah, it doesn't in my eyes, as long as it doesn't in your eyes, if you think it's still within the capacity, I definitely think that's something to look at.
So Yeah. Hey, James.
Hi, Alfie. Hi, James. Sorry I'm a little late, guys. I've been rushing around London today.
It's okay.
That's okay. Yeah.
I said that would be the case. Yeah, we were just talking about a couple of options, one of which is that Alfie has Christmas dinner packages with a bunch of companies that then want an after party on one or two specific dates in December.
Okay.
And then the other option is having a residency at one of the venues as well. So I was just explaining to Alfie that we are talking to some of the people at the moment, but kind of they're not mutually exclusive.
Yeah, definitely.
So even if we were to do the whole thing or we went with you guys just to do that kind of to support you with that. Like the after-party stuff, I think there's a route to support in either one of those.
Yep.
Yeah. So yeah.
Yeah.
Nice. Yeah, we've been looking at it more granularly this year because we got data from the past three years on the kind of the shows that perform the most.
I think just looking at obviously residency and stuff like that, we might even have like private bookings that we'll want to use that space UTB for throughout December and we could even sort of put that on some of those packages like if you wanted sort of the additional But in terms of a residency, just like thinking about all the different dates and stuff, I seem to remember for Humbug, you would do them all throughout the week.
And would you want that all throughout the week? Because I think if we're looking at fixtures and stuff like that, it could potentially interrupt everything for you in like a prime time. Yeah Yeah.
So we've been looking at this year how we strip that back. We've got higher occupancy over a more condensed period.
Yeah.
So, yeah, that's not a concern for us if we weren't doing Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday.
I think, you know, I've done the Olympic Park last year and there was matches being added left, right and centre that kind of interrupted what we were doing a bit.
We just take a split on box office revenue, but then the F&B stays with the venue. So that's a model that you guys are happy to.
Yeah, that's very similar to what we've done in the past. I mean, recently we've done World Cup. We literally ended up only getting to do one World Cup screening. But we worked with a company that did a lot of the marketing and ticket selling and helped with the hosting. So similar in this aspect, just on a different scale. And the plan was originally to set up something like that, like food and beverage.
like we would keep and then initial upfront costs we would keep. And then we just look at splitting ticket revenue and things like that. But yeah, I think if we come to sort of like a good agreement in terms of costs and things like that, I don't see why not.
Okay. We've already got a model kind of lined up on the assumption of a 500 capacity venue. So we can tweak those numbers depending on where we're at with you. I guess... immediate next steps for us is to come and have a look at the space.
And then we can share a model based off of a site visit. And then we can kind of look at what makes the most sense, I guess.
In terms of capacity, it's probably, depending on what we do in terms of setup, like furniture and things like that, you'd probably get 450 standing, but it would be a bit of a squeeze.
We've sort of like matched up marketing schedules and we've gone out internally. So we would be able to access that definitely. I think that's one that we'd definitely go into.
Just in terms of sort of last minute getting it up was we use our ticketing platform, but the links that sort of the other company use would then go straight to that.
And then we'd be able to put in sort of who came from where. I don't really know as much on that side of things, but I think, yeah. Definitely be able to tap in.
Yeah, we're not glued to having to use a specific partner for that. So that's fine.
So are we saying that there's basically a couple of different formats that you might be interested in, in that there's It sounds like one of them is like a humbug entertainment package. Is that about right? That there's like... We're providing the entertainment part of it to clients that are booking other formats of event, private hires. And then... is that there's also a version where we're saying come and see the humbug show buy a ticket in whatever groups you want to come to and you guys effectively would help pay for the production and then you take the bar and we take the tickets. There's different ways of doing it. We do both.
Yeah, they're the two. So, sort of, If I speak handily, I think the initial one of being able to do just like the production side for our shed is probably going to be the easiest to make happen. But I think it's still one to explore the other side as well. Like for a bit more context, sort of the space that we're looking at, it was previously a nightclub, then it came under our ownership as an event side.
So it's a really good space, it's just not getting used enough.
The weekends will sell with consumer tickets but the weekdays rely on the corporates so the earlier we can get that in the line the better. How soon could we come and have a look?
To be fair, Wednesday morning is the clearest for me.
James, are you around then? Bye bye bye. But yeah, Wednesday morning is the easiest for me at the moment.
um no because i've i've got i'm already on an early train coming in and then um I've got a meeting at 10.30.
Yeah. Yeah, okay, sounds good. Um I can do a quick-between now and then, I can probably give you a quick model based on 300 pack capacity.
Do you want to, if you ping over a couple of options for next week, I'll just touch base. If I can get Charlie in, I can. It's not a big deal if you don't have Charlie, but I think like someone in my team from the sales side will be able to join. But ideally Charlie, because I know she's been working a lot on the Christmas one. So I'll find out some dates and I'll just try and cross-reference if you send them over.
It will have loads of caveats until we've seen the venue because I don't know... equipment hire and that kind of stuff could go away or not.
